It's a good thing I don't live in LA, because this would be in my driveway and I would be in the doghouse.

What does CPO actually stand for? Certified pre-owned or something? I keep thinking it's Crack Pipe Only.

Good thing it's a wagon. It's like a drive-able house.

That's a hard one. It's a great car, but I don't think I'd take it over a V8 M3, which I could get for that and under. Not gonna hate on any one for picking it up, though.

Therein lies the problem the BMW and Audi wagons are so over-priced in the pre-owned market, like you said you can get a V8 M3, or a 335 or an S4 (with the way some of the Avants are priced)

Unicorn? With enough cash I can buy these by the dozen. Most are diesels though.

Yeah here in the US there is probably less than 50 manual, RWD, wagons for sale in the entire country. O.k that was an exaggeration but you get the idea.

If it were a 335i I think it'd be a moderately fair price. 328, though? Nah.

I watch these cars all the time...this is what usually happens. They price it high hoping some wagon desperate enthusiast (like me) will know how rare and special it is and snatch it up. But wagon-desperate enthusiasts , like me, usually don't have that kind of cash, so it sits on the lot for a while and they end up dropping the price several grand over the next couple of months.

Unicorn?

The last auction I went to in the UK had hundreds of ex-lease cars. Manual diesel wagon was the standard, not the exception. Mix of BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo &c. Mostly in the £4k -£10k range at the 3 year mark. Should I buy them in bulk and ship them over to relieve the suffering of the Colonies? ;-)
